Local Law Firm Encourages Community to Re-Imagine Their Relationship with Death

Colorado Springs, CO., September 25, 2017 –

Hammond Law Group of Colorado Springs installed giant chalkboards, called Before I Die Dreamboards, on 9/23 and 9/24 at Plaza of the Rockies and The Perk Downtown. The walls encourage people passing by to write their own aspirations on the boards in chalk. Monday morning there were already a variety of musings covering the walls. Additional boards will be installed 9/29 at Salsa Brava’s Briargate and Salsa Brava/Over Easy on Dublin Blvd. The last planned installation is set for October at Switchback Coffee Roasters near downtown.

About The Walls

Before I Die is a global participatory public art project that re-imagines our relationship with death and with one another. The original wall was created on an abandoned house in New Orleans by artist Candy Chang after the death of someone she loved. Since then, over two thousand Before I Die walls have been created in over 70 countries around the world. Each wall is created by local residents who want to make a space in their community to restore perspective and share more with one another.
